A new atrium serves as a horizontal link between the new parking garage and both the addition and the existing inpatient tower. It also makes a vertical connection between the center’s public spaces from the first to the fourth floors.  From there a cafeteria allows views downward, as do a medical library on the fifth floor, a conference room on the sixth, and a surgeon’s lounge on the seventh floor.  Circulation on the lower four floors loops back to the glass ambulatory perimeter corridor.
