Allentown School Disrict - Roosevelt Elementary School

The new L-shaped addition to the existing Roosevelt Elementary School built in the 1920’s provides nine new classrooms, a 7,000 SF multi-purpose room, community room, kitchen, security office, staff shower room, teaching support space and recycling center.  The addition increased the overall capacity of the school from 500 to 750 students.

The existing one-story auditorium was retrofitted to accommodate a new main entrance, administrative offices, health clinic, library, and classrooms. The existing classrooms and support spaces were renovated to include air-conditioning as well as lighting, power, data and security upgrades.  All classrooms received new finishes and casework.

The site was entirely renovated, receiving a new parking lot, playground area, green spaces and ADA ramps.

The project received LEED Gold certification through the U.S. Green Building Council.
