The atrium was the focal point of the extensive renovation of Central Catholic High School. It also was the key to successfully linking various adjacent buildings built at varying timeframes and at different levels. The atrium provides handicapped accessibility and a new focal point for the school, providing both natural light and open space.
The project also consisted of extensive renovations to an aging facility that was badly in need of both code and aesthetic upgrades. We were involved from the conceptual stage and provided both conceptual and design services through Roberson Butz Architects. We were responsible for all aspects of planning and construction. The school was fully occupied during construction.
