Berks County Youth Detention Center

Expansion of the co-ed juvenile facility involved a 25,100 square foot addition to provide 24 double occupancy cells, restrooms, showers, and a new gym. The addition is equipped with fire alarm, public address, HVAC, and control systems as well as a hydraulic elevator.

Alterations to the existing facility include upgrades to laundry, shower, and control rooms. Security system upgrades include all new locks and control systems, including cameras, lighting, and fencing.

The facility remained occupied and operational during all phases of the work.
