Construction of a one- and two-story, 350,000 square foot replacement facility with a capacity of 1,562 male and female inmates. The new facility consists of seven cell blocks, a DUI pre-release building, and a Support Services Building situated on a 70-acre site. Cellblocks are constructed of modular precast cell units and walls, and twin double-tee roof construction. The DUI / work release facility is a pre-fabricated steel and masonry building that houses minimum-security inmates. The Support Services Building, constructed of steel and masonry, houses intake, segregation (32 beds), visitation, video arraignment rooms, courts, library, medical/dental facilities, on-site food services, and laundry facilities. An 8,800 square foot on-site kitchen includes servery, staff dining area, and freezers. Interior security is comprised of individual control rooms per housing unit with a main central control room. Perimeter security is provided through microwave detection systems, cameras, anti-climbing fencing, dog run, and security fencing with razor ribbon. The scope of work also included extensive site improvements, utility relocation, and interior renovations of existing buildings.
