Geisinger Health System - New Administrative Office Building

This new Administrative Office Building is a 94,000 sf steel frame and composite panel clad building.  It is three stories tall and provides “back office” administrative space for the Geisinger Health System.  Its initial occupancy was 450+ personnel situated in an “open” office plan.   It was designed to accommodate an additional expansion to 120,000 sf.  As well, the design has been accomplished using sustainable principals to yield a LEED Silver certification in accordance with the standards developed by the United States Green Building Council. 

Alexander developed a Building Information Model of the project using Revit software. The design professional provided a basic architectural model that was enhanced by Alexander’s Virtual Construction Coordinators into a fully integrated information model including a full structural system and a full Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) system. This was possible through the use of Autodesk’s Revit Structure and Revit MEP platforms. 

The model was turned over to our client as part of the as-built documents submittal. This gives the owner a new and unique method to be able to view the completed building without the need for 2D paper drawings.
