Indiana University of Pennsylvania - North Hall Dining Facility Expansion

North Hall is a new, one story dining facility and is the third and final phase of a plan to increase campus dining capabilities as a response to an estimated 15% growth in campus meal plan participation.

Features of the renovation include:

  • Main kitchen
  • Walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Main servery which includes Bakery/Dessert, Taste of Home, Open Pit, Deli, Global Fusion, Breakfast, Greens/Soup, Beverage, Circle Dining, Ice Cream and Coffee Shop
  • Dining for 400 patrons, including porch an outdoor areas
  • Storage
  • Staff office area
  • Back-of-House which includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, bathrooms, janitorial and receiving areas

In order to begin construction of the new facility, the project included the demolition of existing Keith Hall, which resided within the footprint of the new building. The project also includes the demolition of McCarthy Hall, which is located on IUP's campus, but remote from the North Hall.
