Lehigh University -McClintic and Marshall Dormitory Renovations

McClintic-Marshall House is a four story, H-shaped dormitory building completed in 1957. This sandstone building houses 280 students in double rooms and also has lounges, a kitchen and laundry facilities.

In 2012, while the students are on summer break, a major overhaul of the HVAC system was undertaken with commissioning and demobilization to be complete before the next semester. All student rooms received their own heat/air unit (pictured right). The project includes:

  • Two 140 ton air-cooled chillers to feed McClintic-Marshall House and Taylor Hall
  • New steam-to-hot water heat exchanger
  • Three indoor air handling units providing 100% outside air ventilation throughout the building
  • A 2-pipe fan coil unit and a duct heating coil
  • New variable speed exhaust/relief fans
  • New Emergency Generator
  • Architectural modifications/rough-ins as needed
