New Queen Street Parking Garage & New Duke Street Medical Office Building

The parking garage scope features the partial demolition of an existing parking garage and construction of a new garage while the existing garage stays in operation. The new garage is supported by drilled piers and mat foundations. The superstructure is precast concrete with a brick facade. The new garage is eleven levels and will provide parking for 1586 cars. The existing garage will be reclad with brick to match the new garage. When completed, the façade of the existing and new sections of the garage will be consistent.

The Medical Building is a 79,000 sf four-story steel-framed caisson-supported structure with brick exterior. The building will provide multiple uses for Lancaster General Hospital. A two story atrium connects the garage and the medical building. A two-level pedestrian bridge connects the garage and medical building to the existing hospital over Duke Street. Significant sitework is also included to create a driveway to the atrium. The site is located between Duke and Queen Streets in downtown Lancaster.
