The School District of Philadelphia John L. Kinsey Elementary School Renovations

The School District of Philadelphia underwent renovations and improvements to the existing 1916 John L. Kinsey Elementary School to upgrade code compliance and to support the relocation of a Building 21 program. Building 21 is a secondary school serving students in grades ninth through twelfth focusing on "learner as designer," where students create their own self-paced learning pathways choosing from a variety of instructional opportunities. The school is expected to reach its full grade complement serving approximately 500 students in grades ninth through twelfth.

The scope of work included lead paint stabilization and steel lintel replacements, brick repointing and sealant replacements of the exterior façade to ensure weather-tight structure. Minor repair work was completed on the existing concrete school yard.
